The standard daily rate for a guide is $20 to $25 per day depending on their skill and experience. And the standard daily rate for a porter is $15 to $18 per day, they will carry 20 kg up to maximum 25 kg of loads.

Cost of Food and Drinks

During your journey to Everest Region you will get food and drinks with local Nepalese or international food items as per your demand served to you. The price of food and drinks increases with the altitude but they are affordable.  A bottle of mineral water costs $1 to $4, warm tea and coffee costs $2 to $4, a beer bottle costs $5 to $10, a typical breakfast cost $3 to $6, and dinner and lunch costs $5 to $9 per meal.

Cost of Accommodation

Since the trekking can be tiring, it is necessary to rest and sleep well during the journey. So for this, you can easily book affordable hotels and lodges for the cost ranging from $5 to $40 plus per person for your flexible accommodation and sound sleep and rest.

Trekking Permit and TIMS Card Fees
If you are trekking alone, currently you do not require a Trekker’s Information Management System (TIMS) card. And if your trek is arranged by a local trekking agency then it is recommended that you carry a TIMS card which is blue in color and it costs $10 per person.
